Sapa Medium Trekking 3 days - Hotel & Homestay

I was very happy with my guide. She is happy, smart, kind and good English. The food I have had has been very bland. I think they think westerners don’t like spice. The food at this hotel is not great but adequate. My room here at the hotel was comfortable, clean and great view.

Our first guide though was young, struggled with English and was obviously new in her job. However she was desperate to please, made every effort to make our tour enjoyable and was adelight. little communication regarding your programme for the day, where you were going, staying etc. But you do eventually get there and it's worth it. Sad the quantity of rubbish and pollution in what should be a pristine area

We would like to see more Giay & Black Hmong ethnics culture & way of living as we were mostly just trekked and saw very little of their culture as well as how they live their lives day to day. The trekking pace could have been a little slower allowing time for enjoying the views and taking photos.

Sa Pa is beautiful and the guides were great. It was very well organised. I was picked up at the hotel and taken to the train station and taken to our cabin on the overnight train. I was then met at Lao Cai station and taken to the hotel where I was allowed to check in to my room so I could shower and… More Sa Pa is beautiful and the guides were great. It was very well organised. I was picked up at the hotel and taken to the train station and taken to our cabin on the overnight train. I was then met at Lao Cai station and taken to the hotel where I was allowed to check in to my room so I could shower and rest. (the guide in Hanoi had luckily reminded me not to go with any tour guided except the person holding a sign with my name) The people at Lao Cai can be very aggressive and try to get you to do with them but if you say no firmly then they leave you alone. On my final day in Sa Pa I didn't have to check out of my room at 12noon (normal check out time for hotels) I was able to stay in my room until 5pm which was when I was getting picked up so it was excellent. 1 of the days of the trekking was harder than expected. Some parts are a little dangerous. If it has been raining it is slippery, narrow and steep. I think you need to put it in the itinerary that the trekking can be a little difficult in some parts so people are aware. This was a 2 night, 3 day with one night in a home stay. The guides were very friendly and fun and made the trip enjoyable. The 1st day was a 12km trek in the rain and was a fairly hard day although worthwhile. Day 2 was 9km and sunshine and the view fabulous. We would recommend best price travel to others considering this trip.
