Morning
08:00: You will be picked up from your hotel and embark on a 2-hour drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
Upon arrival, visitors will watch a brief introductory movie to learn about the history and significance of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Then, explore the intricate network of underground tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.
For the adventurous, try crawling through a section of the narrow tunnels to experience firsthand the conditions faced by soldiers during the war.
Here, you can also explore the on-site museum and exhibitions showcasing artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Vietnam War era.
Enjoy outdoor activities such as shooting ranges where you can try firing weapons used during the war, such as the AK-47 under supervision (with a surcharge).
After the exploration, have a light lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon
Begin your city tour with a visit to the Old Post Office, a beautiful colonial-era building, and the Notre Dame Cathedral, an iconic landmark with French colonial architecture.
NOTE: The Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral is temporarily closed for renovation.
Step back in time as you visit the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Independence Palace. This historic site played a pivotal role in the Vietnam War and was the site of the end of the war when a North Vietnamese tank crashed through its gates in 1975.
Then, pay a visit to the War Remnants Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the war's legacy and its lasting effects on the country and its people.
Conclude your city tour with a visit to Ben Thanh Market, one of the oldest and most famous markets in Ho Chi Minh City. Browse through stalls selling a wide range of goods, including local handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs.
