Phnom Penh - Tamao Zoo - Tonle Bati Full Day

Our trip will begin at 8:00. The first attraction is Phnom Tamao on Tamao Mountain. This wildlife center is known as home to endangered species, those either saved from poachers or otherwise orphaned. Be sure to have your camera on hand as you might pass by tigers, sun bears, leopards, exotic birds, and countless other native species.  

Along our way through the rural countryside, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant in one popular lakeside picnicking spot.

Our next destination is Tonle Bati. Let’s take a sightseeing tour in a favorite retreat from the city, as well as the site of two well-known 12th-century temples on the itinerary known as Ta Prohm and Yeay Peau.

The first one, Ta Prohm, has enormous roots and tree trunks cascading over its walls, making it one of the most haunting sights in the area. 

In contrast, the second temple is situated beside a more recently added pagoda called Yeay Peau, which is a single sandstone tower covered by ancient, weather-worn carvings. Learn the histories of both of these once-rich and powerful temples before returning to Phnom Penh. 

Our journey wraps up when we return to the hotel right after the exploring tour.
