At Siem Reap Airport, you are warmly welcomed by our friendly tour guide, then a driver will transfer you to your hotel in Siem Reap for checking in.

With belongings safely settled, the day unfolds into a tapestry of exploration. The evening beckons with promises of enchantment as the tour continues to Bakheng Temple, the ancient temple, offering visitors a breathtaking sunset view from Bakheng Hills.

As darkness settles over Siem Reap, tourists will head to a local restaurant for a welcome dinner. The travelers savor not only the flavors of the local cuisine but also a graceful display of the Apsara Dance Show.

The morning sun rises in the ancient city of Siem Reap as travelers begin their day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. 

This morning, the tour takes us on a journey to the antique capital of Angkor Thom, a testament to the grandeur of the 12th century.

The imposing South Gate is the first place to welcome tourists. That is one of the entrances to the ancient city of Angkor Thom in Cambodia, known for its impressive stone carvings.

Their next stop is the enigmatic Bayon Temple, a marvel known for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Each face seemed to whisper secrets of a bygone era, inviting the visitors to unravel the mysteries held within.

The exploration continues to the Phimeanakas - the central sanctuary consists of a three-tiered pyramid, with a cruciform platform at the top. Then, to the north, there laid the Royal Enclosure.

 Few steps ahead taken then you would reach the Elephants Terrace, where the remnants of ancient structures hinted at the opulence of the Khmer civilization. Next to it, the Terrace of the Leper King, with its intricate carvings and weathered statues, stood as a poignant reminder of the impermanence of human glory.

Venturing deeper into the jungle, the travelers encounter the mesmerizing Ta Prohm temple. Fig trees and gigantic creepers had reclaimed the stone foundations of the structure, making a unique intertwining beauty between human's creation and nature, leaving an indelible impression on the visitors.

A delicious lunch will be served at a local restaurant, providing a moment of relaxation.

In the afternoon, we will have a tour to the iconic Angkor Wat. Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992, this architectural masterpiece unfolded before the travelers, revealing its beauty and splendor. The temple boasted the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, its outer gallery walls narrating captivating stories from Hindu mythology. 

Morning

At around 08:00, you are transferred to Ta Prak Village, accompanied by the local guide. The transfer will take approximately 25 minutes out of town.

A packed breakfast from the hotel will be taken. Upon arrival, you will greet a local family and then share breakfast with them, having a chance to learn more about the serene village life of Cambodia.

After the meal, let’s get on an ox cart, then experience a 30-minute ride through the village to a nearby market. Here, travelers can catch a glimpse of this vibrant area and see what locals sell including fruits, vegetables, and traditional products.

Continue the trip by walking about 1 km to enjoy the beauty of Cambodia’s rural area, along the way, you pass by a local house to see what the local people are doing in the season, such as rice planting, harvesting vegetable crops, making fish traps, etc. (the activities will be different based on each time of year and local’s demand)

Enjoy the surroundings with paddy fields, sugar palm trees, then head to the last place you have to go to this morning - a local pagoda, where a special water blessing by Buddhist Monks awaits.

Refresh yourself with a fresh coconut drink at the end of the ride. Have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon

The next destination is Kampong Phluk village, an ideal place for travel lovers to learn more about the lifestyle of local fishermen living in the flooded mangrove forest.

Upon arrival at the floating village, you will get on a boat cruising on the tranquil lake. Take an opportunity to observe houses on stilts and flooded forests along the way.

The sun casts its morning glow over the city of Siem Reap as travelers indulge in a leisurely breakfast, anticipating the adventures that await them in Battambang.

Upon arrival in Battambang, you visit the ancient Wat Ek Phnom temple. Situated near a serene pond and overshadowed by a contemporary 28-meter-high Buddha statue, the temple exudes an aura of faded grandeur, inviting contemplation on the rich history it holds.

The journey continues through the scenic roads of Battambang, leading to your chosen accommodation for a check-in.

Evening

This evening, we will go out to visit Phnom Sampov during sunset, when every evening at dusk, thousands of bats leave the cave in an endless stream.

As the morning sun bathes the city in a warm embrace, a delightful breakfast is prepared at the hotel.

The first chapter unfolded with an exciting Bamboo Train Ride – a journey that promises a great opportunity to see the local village and countryside along the way in the fresh morning.

After the Bamboo Train Ride, you will head to Phnom Penh. It takes around 5 hours to drive with a distance of 291 km.

Along this expansive route, the travelers make a pit stop at Oudong, the royal capital from 1618 to 1866. The ascent of over 500 steps can be considered a journey through time, unraveling the stories of Khmer kings, including the resting places of King Monivong and King Ang Duong

The hills were also the site of prolonged resistance against the Vietnamese army by the Khmer Rouge in 1979. The road to Phnom Penh continues, weaving through Cambodia's diverse landscapes

As the travelers arrive in Phnom Penh, the vibrant heart of Cambodia, they are transferred to their hotel for check-in. 

The rest of the day will be the guest’s free time. You can either rest at the hotel or have a little exploration on your own. 

Morning

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at your hotel, setting the stage for an immersive adventure along the Mekong trail. 

At 07:30, our experienced guide and friendly driver will greet you in the hotel lobby, and transfer you to board the ferry going to Silk Island or Mekong Island. You will take a ferry of about 15 minutes to get to the island.

As you step onto the island, grab your local easy-ride bike and dive into a thrilling cycling escapade through the enchanting countryside and farming villages of Phnom Penh. 

A highlight of the day includes a visit to a unique silk weaving craft, where local villagers generously share the intricate history of Cambodian silk weaving - a tradition passed down through generations. 

Around 12:30, the cycling adventure concludes, and you'll be transferred back to Phnom Penh city for a well-deserved lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon

The afternoon tour includes a visit to the 19th-century Royal Palace, a masterpiece of Khmer architecture, which has been home to the Kings of Cambodia since 1866, showcasing a fusion of elegance and cultural significance.

Within the palace complex, marvel at the Silver Pagoda, adorned with a floor embellished with 5000 silver tiles, offering a glimpse into the country's opulent history. 

Continue your cultural odyssey with a visit to the National Museum, an architectural gem designed in Khmer style by the renowned French architect Georges Groslier in 1917. 

The day concludes with a visit to Wat Phnom, the legendary temple that narrates the captivating story of Phnom Penh. 

As the sun sets, you will be back to your hotel and have time for yourself till the next morning.

With check-out completed, the first destination on this journey into the past awaits – the Tuol Sleng prison, also known as the Genocide Museum.

The prison was designed for the interrogation and extermination of those perceived as anti-Angkar elements. Today, it stands as a testament to the atrocities committed during that dark period, revealing the haunting echoes of a painful past.

The journey continues with a visit to the Choeung Ek museum, an extermination camp where, between 1975 and 1978, approximately 17,000 men, women, children, and infants were transported from S-21 prison.
