Half Day: Canals Of Krung Thep Afternoon half day
13:00 A local tour guide will pick you up at our Meeting point: BTS Siam Exit 6 in Bangkok then together hop off at the pier to get on the long tail boat and start the canal trip of Krung Thep.
When you arrive at the pier, hop off to board a long-tail boat on the Chao Phraya River, which was once described as the 'Venice of the East'.
- The boat then sails down to Thonburi - the west side of Bangkok metropolis for a trip to the khlongs, or canals. There, you will learn through the residents about the necessity of the waterways to not only local communities’ daily life but also the creation of Bangkok and the old capital of Thonburi
- Our next stop will be Artist's Village - Hidden village to discover the charming village where time seems to stand still with friendly people and culture values are preserved.
- Continue to Royal Barge Museum - where you can discover 8 of the country's most unique and stunning boats: the Royal Barges. These vessels are saved for auspicious ceremonies and special national occasions such as the Royal Barge Procession. The boats have only appeared on the water 16 times in the last 65 years.
- During the trip, you will learn about life along the canals while viewing the beautiful temple Wat Arun- the Temple of Dawn. With unique architectural features, the highest tower of Wat Arun on the banks of the Chao Phraya River has a reputation to be a famous landmark of Bangkok.
