Just wanted to let you know we have been have a fantastic trip so far. Everyone has been wonderful. In Vietnam, we enjoyed the waterfront this evening in Phnom Pehn. Our stay in Chiang Mai went well. We wish we had maybe another full day here so we could go further up the mountain area. Our tour guide Nat and the driver were great!
I would say the breakfast at the White Boutique did not have as much selection as the other hotels we have been at. The room was good. The staff at the hotel were friendly and actually took Mike’s charger to the desk so he could get it when we went back to get our luggage. The drivers and guides have always been on time and wait for us at the airports. Made travel easy. Thank you! Then sadly back to the colder weather in Canada on Nov 12. Less

Overall a 10 however the pace was a little much at first especially with a
different hotel every night for several days! We also requested in Thailand to not
see another temple as most city tours included a palace with some temples and
then later a temple stop. Ms. Moon and our guide Ms. Lee were very accommodating to address this and give suggestions. We were able to see Tiger Kingdom, a butterfly and orchid farm and the Karen Village. This was a little morethan the temples would have been, but paying was worth it! I would definitely
recommend the Tiger Kingdom.
We got to Vietnam right after Typhoon Yagi and so some of the things we were going to do at the beginning of our trip (Halong Bay Cruise) had to be
rescheduled to the end of our trip – luckily, we had several days back in Hanoi at the end. Best Price Travel (Ms. Moon) worked with the schedule, and we were very appreciative of her help. Halong Bay Cruise at the end was a very nice experience and would recommend this to everyone – it was magnificent.
2. Food/ Drink:
In general a 10 – We prefer not to eat family style with others digging into the dishes. There were some hotels where food was not available after the breakfast buffet. Ordered room service in Vietnam at the Palong Boutique Hotel (pizza, spaghetti) and it was terrible. Our group didn’t like some kind of spice in most Vietnamese food (tried a lot of different dishes) so it was harder in that country to
find food to please. The food offering at the buffet at the Elephant Sanctuary was pretty bad. We
liked seeing the Elephants but would have enjoyed food from a different place and suggest just seeing the elephant sanctuary and skip the buffet. Less

However, the morning buffet was good.

2. Hotel in DaNang
Draco DaNang – Good hotel. We liked the hotel but the cot they provided was broke in half so
not great experience we were only there two nights so we did not complain. I highly
recommend the massage at this hotel it was a great experience.
4.3. Hotel in Ho Chi Minh
Alagon Saigon Hotel & Spa – Hotel and service was okay. Checking in process was a little
complicated. The massage spa was just adequate.
4. Can Tho
Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho Hotel – This hotel was very nice, and our room was good but
we question the massage area. Felt a little uncomfortable and questioned whether the massage
area was really for more exotic massages than just deep tissue!
5. Chau Doc
Victoria Nui Sam Lodge Hotel – Nice hotel lodge but isolated nowhere to eat except at hotel.
There wasn’t anything else to do at this lodge, but the view was excellent! This is definitely not a
hotel for anyone who can’t walk many level of steep steps.
6. Hotel in Cambodia
Phnompenh – Duong Chan Hotel – Nice hotel, food was good.
Siem Reap – Tara Angkor Hotel – Excellent hotel, nice pool, massage was good. An added
bonus at this hotel was easy access to all forms of transportation. Attentive staff. We were even
visited by some exotic birds on our balcony!
7. Hotel in Thailand
Bangkok – Le D’tel Bangkok – Hotel was good and staff helpful. Recommend to any other
visitors to have some Baht before checking in – luckily our guide Ms. Nan floated us a loan until
we could exchange money the next day.
8. Chiang Mia – Sabai Sabai Chiang Mai – Very nice European themed hotel with a lot of extra
touches. However, it was a little isolated and a limited set breakfast. Less

2. Guide in DaNang
Mr. Ciao - Bana Hills
Very informative but was too fast and just expected the group to keep up. One person in our
group informed tour guide of broken foot but he continued to travel relatively fast so a lot of the
information was lost on the folks who trailed behind. There were mixed ages and about 4
people in our group would lag and at least one couple was in their 30s so it wasn’t just the
person with the broke foot!
However, BaNa Hills was one of the most amazing things we did on our trip. Would
recommend this to anyone visiting Vietnam but caution that there is a lot of walking but worth it
just take it slow and enjoy the sites.
3. Guide in Ho Chi Minh
Hoang Bach - Mekong Delta
Floating Market – see how they purchase fruits and vegetables on floating market and saw how
they live on boat
We enjoyed this adventure and was impressed with the delicious meal provided by the
homeowner. The fish was excellent, and they even had a performance after our meal.
4. Guide in Cambodia
Mr. Ouk Chantha - Phnom Penh – Took us on a city tour and market and was able to present
family personal experiences with Khamer Roug
Self-guided – Killing Fields – interesting but might not be to everyone’s taste – and would not
recommend for kids.
Mr. Tith OuDom – Angkor Wat Temples – very detailed and was able to accommodate getting
us closer to the temple since one person in our party had a broken foot.
5. Guide in Thailand
Ms. Nan - Bangkok – seen temples and royal palace
Ms. Nan was a great guide from the moment she picked us up at the airport until the end of our
stay. She even provided us with 4000 Baht until we could get somewhere to exchange money
the next day. Her foresight in anticipating this need allowed us to be able to get something to
eat that night as we had no currency.
She was very informative and went out of her way to allow for the injured party in our group to
have breaks without impacting the rest of the group.
Ms. Lee - Chiang Mia – She picked us up at the airport and was very attentive to our request to
adjust the schedule and skipped the city tour and another temple. By this time, we had seen as
many temples as we wanted to see. After checking with Ms. Lee she was able to suggest Tiger Kingdom, butterfly and orchid farm, and a visit to see the tribes from Myanmar (long neck Karen
village). The Tiger Kingdom was one of the highlights of our trip!
We also went to the elephant sanctuary and the sanctuary provided our guide.
Our guide was not very informative and communication skills were lacking.
The flow of the presentation was sporadic – go back to where we just were to discuss something then walk back to the dining area, take a 15-minute break, then meet back and go over a few more things and then take another break.
Finally, we got to see the elephants in their habitat but after seeing about 3 to 5 elephants it was
repetitious. I doubt that I would recommend this and definitely avoid in rainy season as the layout does not have decent walking areas. Highly suggest eating elsewhere too! Less
Booking a trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand with Best Price Travel was an amazing experience. They are dependable and provided me with the best tours. I absolutely loved it.
