The boat is delightfully old-fashioned; we kept gazing around at other boats, exclaiming, "We got the best one." The bay is lovely. I am not going to publish images since they simply do not do it credit; you should see it for yourself. We went in the off season and would highly suggest it; I believe it would be too crowded to enjoy effectively during peak season. The food was tasty, diverse, and plentiful. There was always so much to do, but simply reclining on the top deck as the sun went down was a highlight. Two days and one night is the ideal amount of time in my opinion.
The only drawbacks are that it is quite hot and humid, which (despite their best efforts) the air conditioning partially compensates for, and I found it impossible to sleep at night due to the noise from the boat and the light from the portholes. Less
I highly recommend making a reservation; the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. The cruise took us to every hot place to visit in Ha Long Bay.

Paradise is a big business. In addition to a fancy hotel operation at the port, they appear to have 5 ships of varying sizes. Great, unexpectedly upscale.
The cabin, despite its small size, was immaculate when the luggage was delivered. The shower was excellent.
Both the crew and the abundant food were excellent.
The off-board activities were carefully planned and carried out on schedule. They have undoubtedly received military training.
Disembarking and returning to the hotel in style were equally efficient. Less

The views around Ha Long Bay were amazing. The staff are all very friendly and go above and beyond to help you. Our butler, Marra, was brilliant. The food was of high quality, and the chef catered to our vegetarian diet, which was very appreciated. However, the food portions were very large, and overall, there was way too much food per person. It felt a bit unnecessary, and I dreaded thinking of the amount of food waste. Could be improved by reducing the food amount. Less
