From 22:00 - 03:30, you will be transferred from Hanoi to Ha Giang by a comfortable sleeping bus. Relax and enjoy the scenic ride as you prepare for an exciting adventure ahead.

Arrive early in Ha Giang, where the cool mountain air welcomes you. After checking in at your hotel, you have some time to rest until the tour starts (at roughly 09:00).

Morning

Today, we will embark on an exhilarating 80 km motorbike ride through some of the most breathtaking mountain scenery in Ha Giang. The journey will take us past picturesque local farms and vibrant villages, giving you a true taste of rural life in this stunning region.

Our route will follow the “Cu Vuong” road, once used as a horse path by the H’mong King. During the ride, we’ll make a stop at the Can Ty Wall, where you can soak in the majestic views of the Mien River winding its way through limestone mountains.

Continuing our adventure, we will navigate the Bac Sum Slope and arrive at the Quan Ba Sky Gate, where we can admire the iconic Quan Ba Twin Mountains - often referred to as the “Fairy Mountains.” This area is known for its lush landscapes and fascinating legends.

Next, we’ll visit the legendary Tham Ma Slope, a scenic spot renowned for its winding roads and stunning vistas. Following this, we’ll pass through the Pho Cao village, where we’ll stop for a delicious lunch, sampling local dishes.

Afternoon

Our journey takes us to Ma So, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn the traditional Pai-pie from the H’mong people. This hands-on experience will deepen your appreciation for the local culture.

Before approaching Dong Van, we will take the scenic small roads to Thien Huong village, located near the China border. Here, you’ll be welcomed for a meal prepared by your host family, allowing you to enjoy authentic cuisine in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Finally, we will check in at our homestay, where you can relax and unwind. In the evening, you can take a leisurely stroll around Dong Van Ancient Town, soaking in the atmosphere of this picturesque area.

Morning

Today promises a rich tapestry of authentic local experiences as we delve into the heart of Ha Giang’s culture and natural beauty. Starting your day at the Dong Van Local Market, you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, see local produce, and learn about the daily lives of the local communities.

Next, we’ll make a stop at a handicraft village renowned for its traditional clothes made from hemp. You’ll witness the intricate process of making clothing from hemp, a craft passed down through generations.

As we continue our journey, we’ll ride toward the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most stunning mountain passes in Vietnam. At the viewpoint, prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking panorama of the Nho Que River snaking through the dramatic Tu San Alley below.

After soaking in the views, we’ll continue along the sky path before embarking on a 2 km walk to Ma Pi Leng Rock Mountain. During our walk, we’ll have the delightful opportunity to meet local children along the way.

As lunchtime approaches, we’ll stop in Mau Due for a delicious meal, replenishing our energy for the afternoon ahead.

Afternoon

We’ll make our way to the picturesque village of Du Gia. The mountain passes here are truly spectacular, often deemed even more impressive than those around Dong Van. As we ride, you may be greeted by stunning rice terraces, especially vibrant during the harvest season when they turn a brilliant golden yellow.

Expect to share many high fives with the friendly local children who wave and cheer as we pass through their villages. Their warmth and hospitality add a special touch to the journey, making this an unforgettable day of connection and exploration.

This morning, we’ll set out for a refreshing hike to Tham Luong Waterfall, located about 5 kilometers from our homestay. The trek will take you through picturesque landscapes, where you’ll pass charming traditional houses nestled among lush rice fields and majestic hills. Upon reaching the waterfall, you’ll be greeted by the sight of crystal-clear waters and have a chance to take a moment to unwind and enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool water.

After our visit to the waterfall, we’ll be back to Ha Giang City. The ride promises to be another day filled with stunning views and encounters with friendly locals. Along the way, we’ll make stops at breathtaking viewpoints, including Ma Pi Leng Canyon and Thuan Hoa Camping, where you can marvel at the dramatic landscapes.

If you’re feeling adventurous but the Du Gia Waterfall is too crowded, you can visit the tranquil Boong Waterfalls instead.

Arrive back in Ha Giang City by around 16:00, you will be escorted to the bus station for your onward journey. You have a few travel options for your return to Hanoi:

• 20:30 Night Bus to Hanoi, arriving around 4:00 AM the following day.
• 16:00 Limousine back to Hanoi and arrive around 22:30 - 23:00.
• 17:00 Sleeping Bus to Hanoi, arriving around midnight.
