Orchid Classic Cruise Halong Bay has 3 decks with a diversity of facilities that satisfy you on your onboard time.

The 1st deck features two types of rooms: 04 Family Suite Balcony (adjoining) or 08 Suite Balcony Cabins. Towards the front of the ship, you'll find the crew's cockpit, while the stern houses the reception area and spa & massage room.

The 2nd deck is where the restaurant and the outdoor jacuzzi are located. Furthermore, there are 04 Premium Suites or 02 Family Premium Suites (adjoining) at the middle, while 02 Exclusive Suites located at the stern offer a 180-degree view terrace and a quieter space perfect for luxury enthusiasts.

The sundeck provides the sky bar and ample outdoor space for guests to relax and sunbathe comfortably.

Outdoor Jacuzzi

At the boat's bow on the second deck, a round jacuzzi accommodating 8-10 guests offers a refreshing ambiance and beautiful views of the bay. With color-changing lights at the bottom, it creates a charming scene at night.

Spa

Located on the first deck, the spa is designed for two guests, offering comfortable massage beds, warm lighting, and an intimate setting for relaxation and body care. A small sauna area is also available for added relaxation.

On the 2-day-1-night cruise, guests can enjoy kayaking in Dark & Bright Cave and exploring Trung Trang Cave. The 3-day-2-night option extends the journey to include Viet Hai Village for local connections and a swim at the scenic Ba Trai Dao Beach.

Departing from Hanoi

The bus will conveniently collect you from your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter between 8:00 and 8:30. You will then be comfortably transported to Tuan Chau Port in Halong City by a 9 - 16-seat limousine.

If you are arranging your transportation, it is important to arrive at the designated waiting station (No. 32, Block 2, Tuan Chau International Port) for Orchid Cruises Halong Bayaround 11:30.

By approximately 12:00, all guests will be transferred to the cruise via tender for a seamless embarkation process.

The cruise line continuously updates its 5-star offerings with fully equipped amenities on board and stylishly designed cabins. My Premium Suite Balcony showcases modern decor and provides a spacious cabin size of 36m2, ideal for groups of two.

Pros

• Prettily decorated sky bar, making it a great place to take pictures.
• The jacuzzi located on the ship's bow, is one of the best spots to enjoy the scenery and relax. 
• The elegant wooden furnishings, exquisite wall art, and well-thought-out layout create a spacious and pleasant cabin area.
• Fairy large bathroom inside the cabin with a clean sea-view bathtub.

Cons

• A limited area for mingling, lack of entertainment areas for nighttime activities.
• The wooden hallway shows its age and has a squeaky sound when walking by.
• The bathroom is separated by a blind only, so it was not private enough.

Orchid Cruise is well-suited for a wide range of guests due to its diverse culinary offerings, ranging from vegan options to international dishes. The decorations and service from the staff take the dining experience to the next level for me.

• The dining area offers delicious food and stunning interior views.
• The seafood dishes are fresh and very well-seasoned.
• Dishes for dinner are very well-prepared with pretty decor, focusing on the Vietnamese traditional style.
• During my stay, there are two Happy Hours, one during sunset and one at night.

Cons

• The buffet leans on European cuisine and lacks Asian dishes.
• The drink needs an upgrade in quality for its price.

I thought the 2-day itinerary was well-designed to enjoy both Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island with various activities for a limited time. This is one of a few cruises that included Cat Ba Island in the 2-day itinerary.

Pros

• The moment I kayaked in the Dark & Bright Cave Area was amazing due to the magnificence of nature here.
• Exciting trips to Trung Trang Cave in Cat Ba Island. It has a unique structure with many spots for amazing photos.
• A variety of activities in many attractions even for a 2-day itinerary: kayaking in Dark & Bright Cave, swimming in Tra Bau, and visiting Trung Trang Cave.

Cons

• There are not many things to do at night, so active travelers may get bored.

Kayaking at a beautifully hidden gem adds a new layer of enjoyment to your trip.
