Dong Hoa Hiep has a valuable cultural heritage of 355 old houses built from late 19th century, which help sets the commune apart as a unique destination for eco-tourism in Tien Giang Province. Architecture wise, old houses here share many similar features with the ancient hundred-pillared house in Long An province such as the elaborate carvings of conventional motifs and images, the wooden furniture, spacious lobby and even the family altar. Aesthetically, those are well worth a visit to savor the traditional work of Vietnamese artisans.
Ba Duc Ancient House

Out of 355 old houses, the best preserved ones included Ba Duc Old House, Cai Huy Old House and Anh Kiet old House despite the old ages that reachs 150 years. The most ancient Anh Kiet Old House, which is built in 1850, is 1,000 sq. metres large with over 100 pillars and all the structure and furniture made in precious wood.
