Got Pier

Got Pier is next to Lach Huyen port area in Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city. Previously, to move to Got ferry, you had to move another Dinh Vu - Cat Hai ferry route, then go through Cat Hai town to reach Got Pier. But since 2018, after the sea bridge crossing the Tan Vu - Lach Huyen was completed, connecting the road from Hai Phong to Lach Huyen, Got Pier, moving to Got Pier becomes extremely simple.

The Cat Ba Got Ferry operates every day and has no day off. This is the only way for passenger cars, trucks, and other private vehicles to go to Cat Ba.

Got Pier is divided into two areas:

• Area for ferries and other vehicles to go to Cai Vieng port on Cat Ba island and vice versa.
• Area for speedboats to Phu Long Harbour and overnight cruises to welcome guests.

Operating hour

Got Pier has many turns a day. Due to the high moving demand between Hai Phong and Cat Ba Island, the operating hour in Got Pier is divided into two seasons: summer and winter. In the summer, ferries run from 4:30 am to 6:30 pm, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, the ferry hours last until there are no new guests. Running time in winter is from 5:00a.m to 6:30p.m.

There are 23-26 fixed trips per day, not included extra trips due to traffic jams. Travel time 25 minutes and 30 minutes has one turn.

How to get there

From Hai Phong city, tourists can take a taxi or rent a private vehicle to get Dinh Vu Peninsula, cross Tan Vu - Lach Huyen sea bridge, which is one of the longest sea-crossing bridges in Vietnam. Then you will get to Got Pier, buy the ferry ticket (see price list and timetable in Got Pier here) and it will take you about 20 minutes to go Cat Ba Island.
