Hoi An ranked 20th in the top 25 best cities in the world, while Phu Quoc ranked 14th in the top 25 islands on the framework of World’s Best Awards 2022 by Travel + Leisure magazine.

The World's Best Awards 2022 has announced the top cities, islands, hotels, cruise lines, airlines, and more by Travel + Leisure. According to the readers' survey, there are 25 top world cities and 25 islands around the globe that are worth visiting in 2022. 

Hoi An in the Top 25 World's Cities 

For the “best cities” category, the vote was based on different factors, including attractions, culture, cuisine, friendliness, and shopping area. Hoi An ranked 20th this year with 88.92 points. Hoi An used to be an international commercial port, the meeting place of the merchant ships of Japan, China, and the West during the 17th and 18th centuries so its architecture is a harmonious blend of many cultures.
