Boarding procedures are subject to many variables such as station, staff, time of day, etc. It follows these steps
Step 1: Print the e-Ticket out. It can be in color or black and white.
Step 2: Bring your passport with you and be at the station at least 30 minutes before departure
Step 3: Show the conductor your e-ticket and passport to access the platform. If all the information is correct, you will be allowed to get on the train. Please keep the ticket all the time during your trip because the conductor will scan it at other times onboard.

If you need to cancel the train, please see the cancellation policy below:
This cancellation policy is for Thong Nhat trains (the most popular train in Vietnam for the route from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh), other trains can be different.
1. 30% cost of the ticket will be charged in case of cancellation or amendment after e-ticket (Thong Nhat trains) or booking confirmation (Sapa trains) issued.
2. 50% cost of the ticket will be charged in case of cancellation or amendment made 5 days before the departure date.
3. 100% cost of the ticket will be charged in case of cancellation or amendment made within 3 days before the departure date.
