First of all, many people may mistakenly believe that Koh Rong Samloem island and Koh Rong island are one but in fact, these are only similar in their names. Compared to the size and bustling, Koh Rong is much better but about the breathtaking scenes, Koh Rong Samloem is the best.
There is a small island with no residential area, only resorts for tourist which are built and managed by foreigner. Known as a wild paradise and seems to be seperate from the outside world with the distance of nearly 3 hours by boat. From a far distance, you can see the beauty of the jetty stretching over the calm sea, along with the gentle sandy beaches that stand out on the green background of the tropical forests. On the island, you can only swim, read books, watch fish and coral or relax on chairs, swings, tree houses at the beach. If you are a kind of dynamic person and want to have fun, Koh Rong Samloem is definitely not a place for entertainment.

Before going to paradise Koh Rong Samloem island, you are required to "transit" in Sihanoukville - coastal city of Cambodia. Another famous city from Phnom Penh and Siem Reap with beautiful beaches, many islands still retain its original rare and wild beauty. Then from Sihanoukvill, you take the boat to Koh Rong Samloen, if you choose the Party Boat of The Beach Island Resort, it takes about 2,5 hours with a round trip ticket of 20 USD per each. The boat serves buffet and stop for half hour for visitors to swim and dive. There is daily one trip at 9:30 and return at 15:30. If you choose the Speed Ferry boat, it will run faster and the price is also 20 USD per each for a round trip, the boat calls at Koh Rong island for a while.
