Mua Cave

Mua Cave
Hang Mua locates at the foot of the Mua (Múa) mountain. This bell-shaped cave is quite large - about 800m2 wide. According to legend, when King Tran returned to Hoa Lu for establishing Am Thai Vi, he often came here for listening to the beauties singing and dancing. Therefore, this place was named the Hang Mua (means Dancing Cave).
Main Step to Mua Cave
On exciting things is that visitors usually come to Hang Mua to challenge theirselves in conquering this mountain through more than 500 steps leading down the steep cliffs. While you are at the mountain peak, suddenly a greatest natural view comes in front of your eyes. Since this is the only place in Ninh Binh where you can admire the whole beauty of Tam Coc area.
Moreover, while standing at the bottom of mountain, visitors can see clearly the white-stone pavements leading to top of mountain. They really looks like the miniature Great Wall. In two sides of the steps, there are very delicate and beautiful dragon and phoenix figures carved in stones. These were made following traditional arts from Tran dynasty.

To get here, you go along the Highway 1A to Ninh Binh City and come to Trang An or Tam Coc, then you see the directions to Hang Mua. On the way, you will have a chance to enjoy amazing sightseeings with golden rice fields, cultural villages and majestic waterways, rivers, lakes, mountains of wonderful Ninh Binh, Viet Nam.
