Pattaya Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng Pattaya)
Fried rice is an easy and delicious dish. And it would be a nice delicacy if fried rice is served wrapped in omelets. Yes, this wonderful fried rice is wrapped in eggs called Pattaya Fried Rice according to Malaysians, it is also known as Nasi Goreng. It is a delicious Asian dish and similar to Omurice, this is the Japanese version of this fried rice dish.
Pattaya Fried Rice is a Malaysian dish, made by wrapping chicken fried rice in an omelet pouch. This unique dish includes fried rice with chicken tomato sauce, wrapped in a soft omelet. In fact, Pattaya fried rice is amazing for many reasons. It is suitable for any meal of the day. A piece of omelet with each piece of rice really makes it perfect. It is also known as Nasi Goreng Pattaya.

Ingredients of Pattaya Fried Rice
Ingredients for fried rice
- 2 cups of rice (preferably cold rice overnight)
- 100 grams boneless chicken breast and cut into small pieces
- 100 grams of peeled shrimp
- 1 Carrot is cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp of tomato sauce
- Chives are thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- Spices for chicken
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Spices for fried rice:
- 1 tbsp of fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- Ingredients for an omelette:
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch or potato starch
- 1 teaspoon Water
Other ingredients
- 1 tomato is sliced
- 1 sliced cucumber
- 1 red chilli is cut into long stripes
How to make Pattaya Fried Rice
Slice shallots and minced garlic then cut the chicken and carrots into small cubes and peel the shells of the shrimp. Cut a tomato, cucumber, and chili to garnish, then we are ready to fry the rice!
Continue to heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan at high heat until very hot. Add minced garlic and sliced chives. Sauté them until light brown and fragrant.
Then add the chicken and carrots. Continue frying until the carrots are tender and the meat is just cooked for about 2 minutes. Then add in tomato ketchup.
Next, you need to add fish sauce and salt to them. Mix gently. Tear the shrimp and stir fry until the shrimp turn pink. And then, you put rice in it. Continue stir-frying and stirring until all ingredients are well mixed. Put the mixture on a disc. Set aside and we are ready to make an omelet to wrap fried rice.
When the omelet is almost cooked, quickly place the fried rice in the middle. Fold 4 sides of the omelet to wrap rice. Place a flat dish on the omelet and carefully flip it over.
Lastly, garnish with some tomato sauce or chutney on top
