Vietnam Launches Singapore to Phu Quoc Direct Flight
Phu Quoc International Airport, a southern Vietnam island of Kien Giang, has begun a direct flight between Phu Quoc and Singapore. The addition of flights between these two destinations is intended to meet the travel demands of entrepreneurs and visitors, as well as popularize the island's image and tourism industry.

The direct flight from Singapore to Phu Quoc, if operational, would help to promote investment in 'Pearl Island', particularly from potential investors from Singapore.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, stated that the exploitation of more Singapore to Phu Quoc flights will provide a fresh push for the development of Phu Quoc and Kien Giang province in particular.

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh, General Director of Vietnam Airlines, the new direct route would connect Phu Quoc Island with other countries worldwide, providing ideal economic and tourism growth circumstances.
The Singapore - Phu Quoc direct route includes two Airbus A321 flights each week on Thursdays and Sundays. These flights will leave Phu Quoc Island at 10:55 every day, with the return flights leaving Singapore at 14:50 on the same day.
