Wat Sila Ngu
Wat Sila Ngu, a small temple also known as Wat Ratchathammaram is located at the top of Hua Thanon beach in the south of Koh Samui, just a kilometer south of Hin-Ta Hin-Yai. The temple is accessible by a staircase from the beach or by a door from the road

The temple is believed to be a relic of the Lord Buddha, therefore, you will see a lot of devotees at this temple. You can come here to worshipping, enjoying the sea breeze, and the scenic view of Koh Samui, or shopping. There is a number of shops nearby the temple, where you can buy art, crafts, and souvenirs. Some people come to visit the temple, then go for a picnic on the beach nearby. The stair leading to the sea is guarded by Naga snakes
Architecture at Wat Sila Ngu
Some people call this Red temple because the wall of this temple is red. Some sculptures on the walls of the temple are also red. It has 100-year-old architecture and beautiful natural surroundings. Inside the temple, you will find some beautiful artworks, sculptures, and beautiful Buddhist illustrations. Wat’s beautiful decor represents Koh Samui’s art, tradition, and Buddhist culture. There is a huge spirits tree and a gilded Chedi at the temple.
Something to note when visiting this temple:
• You need to dress properly, cover your knees and shoulders.
• Do not forget to take off your shoes when entering the buildings
• Be quiet
• Don't hug or kiss or point your feet to Buddha's image
• No smoking is allowed
